To place digital technology at the service of humanity and the planet, EPITA has been fostering research since 1999 to tackle the challenges of tomorrow. The school encourages its faculty researchers and students to take part in this effort. Accomplishing this mission doesn’t require donning a superhero costume—it simply requires joining a research laboratory.

EPITA’s research presence spans all its campuses: Paris, Lyon, Rennes, Strasbourg, and Toulouse. The research teams address high-stakes issues and are recognized both nationally and internationally. Faculty researchers from teams such as “Automata and Applications,” “Artificial Intelligence,” “Numerical Methods in Humanities and Social Sciences,” “Image Processing and Pattern Recognition,” and “Security and Systems” contribute to advancing knowledge in their respective fields.

Their work includes detecting large-scale attacks and threats, guiding the diagnosis of pulmonary embolisms, contributing to the discovery of tomorrow’s medicines, and preventing plane crashes. EPITA students and apprentices are invited to join these teams from the very first year of the engineering program to explore research and contribute their own efforts to these impactful projects.
