PROSECCO unites 11 European partners to tackle one of the most pressing challenges of the energy transition: enabling reliable and secure hybrid AC/DC grids for large-scale offshore wind integration. My contribution focuses on Work Package 3, where I work on the transient stability of hybrid AC/DC systems under fault conditions combining advanced converter control strategies, DC protection schemes, and experimental Power-Hardware-in-the-Loop validation. This research directly informs future European DC grid codes and the safe operation of tomorrow's power grid.
