Shabab Samimi
Associate Professor
Shabab Samimi received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from École Centrale de Lille in 2016. In 2017, she joined ESME, where she is currently an Associate Professor. She is also an Associate Researcher at the Laboratory of Electrical Engineering and Power Electronics (L2EP) in Lille. Her research interests focus on the integration of renewable energy sources into power grids using power electronics. Her work primarily addresses modular multilevel converters and power quality solutions for transmission grid applications, with a particular emphasis on HVDC and MTDC systems. She has authored and co-authored several journal articles and conference papers dedicated to high-voltage direct current power systems. Her recent research activities focouses on an ANR projet:" DICIT". This project aims to develop DC/DC static converters for the interconnection and transmission of electrical energy in high-voltage networks.
