Nabil Benyahia
Associate professor
specializing in the optimization of electrical propulsion systems, with applications to fuel cell and supercapacitor-based electric vehicles. The experimental work for his thesis was carried out at the CRTT in Saint-Nazaire and the Fuel Cell Laboratory (FC-LAB) at the University of Belfort-Montbéliard. He has contributed to several innovative projects, including: the design of the newly initiated Rail Innovative Centre (RIC), based on a Power Hardware-in-the-Loop (P-HIL) demonstrator for future rail propulsion systems at the University of Derby (UK); the design of a SiC-based inverter for high-speed magnetic machine drives at ENSEM in Nancy; and the development of an experimental platform using P-HIL for PEM fuel cell and propeller systems for naval applications at the Naval Academy Research Institute (Lanvéoc). He is currently an Assistant Professor at ESME School in Paris and an associate researcher at GeePs – Group of Electrical Engineering – Paris.
