The LRPIA is committed to contributing to sustainable agriculture and places the circular economy at the core of its scientific strategy. Bringing together associate professors with complementary expertise, the laboratory adopts integrative approaches that combine fungal biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, and metagenomics to develop innovative solutions for the recovery of agricultural by-products and marine resources. Our research focuses on the strategies developed by microorganisms (mostly fungi), plants, and algae to interact with their environment. By understanding these natural mechanisms, we aim to create practical applications in the field of agriculture. To this end, the LRPIA collaborates with academic experts in plant science and chemical ecology, as well as with industrial partners in the agricultural sector, all of whom share the goal of developing sustainable farming solutions.
