Philippe Jamet

(Past) General Director of IONIS Technology Cluster

Dr Jamet was appointed Dean of the Technology Cluster of IONIS Education Group in February 2024. He has been involved in higher education and research for more that 35 years, mostly in the public sector. He was previously CEO and Dean of PSB (2020-2024), executive president of IMT National Institute of Technology (2014-2019), and executive president of Ecole des Mines de Saint-Etienne (2008-2014). He was posted for 4 years as Scientific attaché at the French Embassy in the USA (2004-2008). An engineering graduate from Mines ParisTech PSL, Dr Jamet obtained a PhD in Quantitative Hydrology and Hydrogeology from the same school, and an habilitation in environmental geosciences from Sorbonne University. A past president of the National Conference of Elite Graduate Colleges (Grandes Ecoles), he was elected to the National Academy of Technologies of France in 2014. He is a knight of the Legion of honour and a knight of the Academic palms order.
