Hiba Rajeha, Ing., PhD, is a bioprocess engineer, researcher, lecturer, and industrial consultant dedicated to advancing sustainable biotechnology and translating scientific discoveries into industrial innovation. Her research focuses on the development of sustainable bioprocesses for the valorization of agricultural and food by-products, green extraction technologies, circular bioeconomy, functional ingredients, and microalgae biotechnology. By integrating process engineering with industrial needs, she develops scalable solutions for the food, cosmetic, and biotechnology sectors. She is the recipient of the L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Young Talent Award, a member of the Arab-German Young Academy of Sciences and Humanities (AGYA) and the Global Young Academy (GYA). She is also the host and creator of the Qiyada podcast, she promotes science communication by bringing together international experts to discuss research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership.
