Juan Carlos Martinez Rocha
postdoctoral
Juan Carlos Martinez Rocha received the M.Sc. degree in electronics engineering from the Tecnológico Nacional de México in 2019 and the M.Sc. degree in robotics, assistance and mobility from the University of Versailles–Paris Saclay in 2020. He received the Ph.D. degree in robotics from Paris-Saclay University in 2025, conducted within the LISV laboratory. His research has focused on intelligent control strategies, AI-based physical activity recognition, and the design of innovative assistive mobility devices, including advanced wheelchair prototypes for Adapted Physical Activity. He also contributed to the optimisation of wireless charging systems and developed control methods for robotic assistive devices during a research stay at Tohoku University. He is currently involved in the ANR HERMIN project, working on the mechatronic development of a mouse limb prosthesis for neuroscientific experimentation.
