Affiliations within the Academic Ecosystem

As part of the research strategy implemented within the IONIS TECH Schools, an initiative has been launched to strengthen ties with major universities within each School’s territorial ecosystem (for example: Université Paris‑Saclay and Sorbonne Université in the Paris region, Université de Lille, Université de Lyon, etc. for regional campuses). This approach results in the affiliation of each faculty member with a research laboratory of one of these universities, formalized through an associated researcher agreement. The faculty member, who is regularly present in the host laboratory, is expected to work in close collaboration with that research unit. Publications arising from joint work must therefore include dual affiliation: IONIS TECH Research Labs and the associated host laboratory. In all cases, these affiliations must comply with the principles outlined in §2.4.

Affiliations with Scholarly Societies

The IONIS TECH Schools encourage their faculty members to contribute to the vitality and influence of the scientific and technological community, particularly through participation in national and international scholarly societies. Depending on the importance of this participation, Schools may provide financial support for affiliation‑related expenses (membership fees, events) and may grant teaching‑load reductions, as described in §5.4.

Scientific Integrity

Each IONIS TECH School has a designated Scientific Integrity Officer (RIS) and a procedure for reporting any breach of scientific integrity. These officers are responsible for raising awareness among faculty members regarding scientific integrity and for coordinating related preventive actions.
